We learned that olives and lemons are ofttimes grown together because the olive trees provide the shade needed for the lemon trees to thrive. It was interesting to see farms with shade netting overhead and more netting underneath to catch what falls from the trees.

After a light snack of anitpasti we were dropped off at the town center with the mission to pick up some saline solution for my contacts and some tennis shoes and hopefully some light clothes to wear until my bags showed up. We found the first two items but Italians really take their siestas seriously and most everything had closed up for the afternoon. We settled on a nice local Italian restaurant we found exploring one of the side streets and shared a funghi pizza and a glass of wine.

After lunch it was back to the ship and catch up on some sleep up on the pool deck lounge chairs. The cliffs were definitely my favorite part of the day and I got a chance to practice the Italian I've been learning over the summer.
