Well the day finally arrived. B and I went to Disney 4 days earlier so we could relax and enjoy the build up to the wedding day without any stress. Disney's wedding planners do an amazing job of coordinating everything for you, there was nothing for us to do but sit back and enjoy the resort which is exactly what we did.
The Grand Floridian has several top tier restaurants; such as Narcoosee's, Citrico's and the 5-star rated Victoria and Alberts. Our room overlooked the Magic Kingdom (finally, don't get me started). Narcoosee's is situated over the lagoon directly overlooking Cinderella's castle and at night turns it's lights off during the fireworks and water light parade. It's very romantic and both times we've eaten there we had marriage proposals at one of the adjoining tables. What a way to start the weekend!
The day of, was not at all stressful, everything went like clockwork although I was scared to death that I would not be able to say my vows without breaking down and crying in front of everyone. The pastor would not allow me to turn around until he gave the signal and I must say I thought I was going to die when I heard "Hear comes the bride" playing on the organ, finally I was allowed to turn and see Bridget and my heart skipped a beat. She was an angel. She looked more beautiful than I ever imagined.
We both made it through the vows (barely) and it was a wonderful ceremony. We wanted to invite everyone we knew but our promise to ourselves was that we'd pay for the wedding ourselves, we wouldn't go into debt to do so and we would spend more on the honeymoon than the wedding. We managed to accomplish all 3 but only just. For everyone that couldn't be there, you were there in my heart.
